As the dust settled on a solid two years on the road for "book one" - from the band's inception and early songwriting in 2011 to the final shows in summer of 2013 - there were two songs left over in the can. Two live favourites - "Colour Light & Sound" and "City and Smoke" - recorded with 'book one' producer Mark Plancke at his Shark Tank Studios in Windsor. As the summer of '13 ended, the unquiet dead was short four members - guitarist Jesse Kustra, multi-instrumentalist Jason Testawich, and songwriter/bassist Gary Van Lare ("Colour Light & Sound") and banjo/lap steel/songwriter Josh Fraser ("City and Smoke") - who all moved on to other ventures. This EP - 'EPilogue' - is the closure on the era of 'book one', as the unquiet dead looks forward to 'book two'
Dedicated to the unquiet dead family no longer on the journey.
To Jesse, Jason, Gary, Josh and Nick. Forever thanks.
